ADMISSION PROCESS

Government Medical College Doda Jammu

The process for securing admission to the MBBS program at Government Medical College Doda, Jammu, is contingent upon the NEET-UG examination. Prospective candidates aspiring to pursue MBBS at this institution must satisfy the following eligibility criteria1: 

  • Attainment of the age of 17 years on or before December 31st of the admission year for the MBBS course. 
  • Successful completion of the 12th class examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as subjects, securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC) in the aggregate of these subjects. 
  • Qualification in the NEET-UG exam with the requisite cut-off marks for the respective category and counselling round. 

The admission procedure for the MBBS course is facilitated through the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) of Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates are required to complete the online registration on the BOPEE website, filling out the application form with the necessary details and submitting the applicable fee. Alongside the application form, candidates must submit the NEET-UG scorecard and rank. The BOPEE will compile a merit list of eligible candidates based on the NEET-UG score and rank, subsequently conducting the counselling process for seat allotment. 

During counselling, candidates actively participate in selecting their preferred college and course. Document verification and payment of the admission fee are essential steps during seat allotment.
